Use this guide if you want the high-level rule for how opt-outs work in Sendblue and what your team should do across other sending systems.
What Sendblue handles automatically
When a contact replies to a Sendblue line with a standard opt-out keyword such as STOP, QUIT, END, REVOKE, OPT OUT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE, Sendblue suppresses future outbound messages to that number on our side.
When messaging can resume
Messaging can resume only if the contact later replies START.
Important cross-platform caveat
Sendblue suppression applies to Sendblue sending behavior. If you also send from another platform or CRM, those suppressions are not automatically mirrored everywhere else unless you sync them yourself.
What your team should do operationally
Honor opt-outs immediately.
Keep suppression lists aligned across every messaging tool you use.
Do not assume an opt-out in one platform automatically updates all your other systems.
