Customer-Facing Guide

What this workflow is for

Zapier + Sendblue Workflow is the generic pattern for using Zapier to push contacts or events into Sendblue workflow logic.

When to use it

  • When Zapier is the easiest way to connect your source system to Sendblue.

  • When a non-native integration still needs to create a Sendblue message or workflow action.

What to make sure is true first

  • The Zap trigger is correct and actually firing.

  • The phone number, sender, and message fields are mapped correctly.

  • You are not duplicating the same send through multiple Zaps or multiple automation layers.

Common mistakes

  • The Zap never ran, but the issue is blamed on Sendblue.

  • The Zap ran with incomplete or malformed field data.

  • The same event creates multiple sends because more than one Zap or automation path is active.

How to verify it worked

  • Check Zapier task history.

  • Confirm the contact/message action appears in Sendblue after the Zap fires.

  • If Sendblue never sees the action, troubleshoot the Zap path first.
