What this step does

Set From Number controls which Sendblue number a workflow should use when sending the message.

When to use it

  • When a workflow should send from a specific line or sender identity.

  • When different contacts, teams, or workflow paths require different sending numbers.

Why it matters

A wrong or missing sending number is one of the most common causes of workflow sends failing even though the rest of the workflow logic is correct.

Common mistakes

  • Pointing to a number that is not assigned to the account.

  • Leaving the field blank or mapped incorrectly.

  • Using an outdated number from an old setup.

How to verify it worked

  • Check which sending number the workflow step is actually using.

  • Confirm that number is assigned to the account and is the one you intended.

  • If sends are failing, compare the configured sending number against the account's assigned Sendblue numbers.
