Customer-Facing Guide
What this doc is for
This guide explains the key fields and setup expectations when you are configuring Sendblue Group iMessage workflow steps.
Core fields to think about
Message content
Lead phone number
Team member emails that should participate in the group
Sender / sender email
Optional media or voice-memo inputs if your workflow uses them
Group name if your workflow supports naming the thread
What each field needs to be
Lead phone number should be clean and valid.
All participating team-member emails must already belong to connected Sendblue users.
Sender should match the user whose Sendblue number should initiate the group thread.
Optional media or voice-memo fields should only be used if they are actually populated and intended.
Common mistakes
One or more team members are not actually connected as Sendblue users.
Phone numbers are formatted inconsistently.
The sender field points to the wrong user.
The workflow assumes group creation worked even though the participant list was invalid.
How to verify it worked
Confirm the group thread was created with the right participants.
Confirm the initial message appears in the correct thread.
If the group did not form correctly, re-check participant emails and phone-number formatting first.
