Customer-Facing Guide
Overview
Links should usually be sent only after the recipient has engaged. Sending links too early is one of the clearest ways to make a message look spammy.
Best practices
Do not send links in the first outbound message unless you already have an active engaged conversation.
Lead with a conversational opener and a simple question first.
Add the link only after the recipient responds or clearly indicates interest.
Introduce the link naturally so it has context and does not feel random.
Why this matters
Early links are associated with poor engagement and spam complaints.
Links fit much more naturally after the recipient replies.
A random link with no context is harder for recipients to trust.
Useful pattern
Message 1: identify yourself
Message 2: ask a low-friction question
After reply: send the relevant link with context
