Why can't I find the conversation using phone number?

If you cannot find a conversation by phone number, the problem is not always the search bar itself. It is usually one of four things: formatting, duplicate contact records, the wrong thread, or a dashboard/CRM visibility mismatch.
Check formatting first
Use the full phone number, including country code when needed.
Avoid spaces, parentheses, extension text, or extra symbols in the search value.
A clean format like +14155559988 is the safest search format.
Other common reasons
The message is under a different contact record for the same person.
The conversation is in a different thread than expected.
The message was sent from a different assigned line or owner context.
The dashboard or CRM view is filtered or lagging.
What to try next
Search again using a clean full phone number format.
Check whether there are duplicate contact records for the same lead.
Look at thread ownership, filters, and date range.
If the message exists in Sendblue but not in the CRM view, consider a display/sync issue rather than a send failure.
