How to send a contact card using Sendblue

It's possible to send your contact card to leads via the Sendblue dashboard. Here are the steps to do so:

  1. Locate your contact on your iPhone -> this can be found in your "Contacts" app. You can choose to add a picture as your brand or of yourself with your number populated

  2. Create a new text message thread on your personal iPhone with your Sendblue number

    1. Send a text of your contact card to your Sendblue number

  3. Head over to the Sendblue dashboard on your browser. Locate the conversation with your personal iPhone and you will see that your contact card will appear as a PDF file in the conversation history

  4. Download the file from the conversation. This will upload to your download folders as a .VCF file which is what's needed for iMessage to recognize your contact

    1. You've now successfully created a shareable file format of your contact card in which you can send to your leads

  5. Send your contact card as an attachment to your lead!

Important

Sending a contact card is considered the same as sending Media. We only recommend you send a contact card to a lead that has REPLIED previously, otherwise the contact card will not embed cleanly within the iMessage conversation
